OK, a bit of romantic history... Murali and I had our first dinner date at an Ethiopian restaurant in San Jose on May 19th, 2002. Can't believe we've been together for 8 years! In recent years we have started a tradition of enjoying Ethiopian food on our anniversary. We've probably been to half a dozen places in the Bay Area. Each year I am reminded of the time I didn't read the fine print on that menu that their most famous cuisine, kitfo, is rare (some say raw) marinated beef.This year we brought Naina along. Nope, she didn't particularly like the injera bread or the other foods we ordered. She did however like the domed wicker basket seats which she insisted were "hats."
