San Francisco's Conservatory of Flowers
We celebrated Valentine's Day weekend in San Francisco! We took our bikes and rode about 5 miles around Golden Gate Park - another record for our family! Along the way, we greeted a police officer on a horse!
Eventually, we made it to the Conservatory of Flowers, a huge botanical garden and greenhouse in the Golden Gate Park. The building, including the central dome, is an example of Victorian architecture..
This Conservatory was a gift of James Lick to the City of San Francisco (Yes, he was the same California philanthropist who financed Lick Observatory, where we volunteer each summer.)
Lots of colorful plants as big as me!
