Happy Halloween! 

Naina dressed up as one of her favorite characters, Curious George! 

We joined the fun as the Man and the Woman with the Yellow Hats. 

We carved jack o'lanterns again this year. Naina worked hard on her pumpkin too!

At Ardenwood Lane Nursery, we constructed our first scarecrow!

Aunt Girija made this dress for Naina about 2 years ago. At long last, it fits, just in time to celebrate Diwali. :)

We celebrated Diwali by drawing kolams. In India they use rice water, but Haruka used Naina's colored chalk. (Lots of helpful how-to videos on You Tube!)

Halloween party with our Tsukushinbo friends! 4 Power Rangers, 2 princesses, a chicken, Buzz Light Year, Jessie, Mrs. Potato Head, Dracula, a bumblebee and our little monkey.

Hayride with the Pleasanton Japanese Mother's Club (PLIN). It was an unusually warm (sometimes hot) autumn. I kept her in shorts instead of putting on her fleece monkey costume.

Naina just loved Sophie the little pony! In this photo she looks like she owns the horse!
