For Haruka's birthday, we spent a busy day in San Francisco. Murali provided generous chauffeur and child care services while Haruka decadently enjoyed a docent tour at the Legion of Honor Museum. Right now, the Legion and the de Young Museums are having a series of exhibits celebrating Impressionist Paris and the Birth of Impressionism, featuring works from the Musee D'Orsay.
Afterwards, we went on a walking tour of Lands End, the western-most section of San Francisco. Naina was comfortably snug in her baby backpack as we walked towards the Pacific Ocean and the historic Sutro Baths. It was characteristically cold and foggy as we looked towards the Golden Gate Bridge--making it quite possibly the coldest birthday celebration I can ever recall. Thank you for memorable birthday!
