Adoption Finalization
At long last, Naina's Adoption Finalization is complete! This is the final major milestone in the adoption process. She is now officially a US citizen and her name is Naina Yamashita Murali. (Feel free to still call her Nana-chan, her Japanese nickname.) Here we are with Judge Alice Vilardi at the Pleasanton Superior Court. She shared with us two coincidences: she actually has a niece who was adopted from Japan and once lived in Yonkers!
