Baby Naina celebrated her 1st Birthday with a party in our home in Dublin. We had South Indian and Japanese food for our guests, but the centerpiece was a 3D Keroppi Frog Character Birthday Cake designed by Dhanya Ganesh. The cake was cardamom / pistachio / rosewater flavored with buttercream--YUM! It was so creative and beautiful that Haruka didn't want to cut it up, but she was surrounded by children saying things like, "Can I have the frog's eye?" so she had to chop chop. To check out Dhanya's website of amazing cake creations, see Dhanya's Delights.
We're also posting a photo of Nana-chan (her Japanese nickname) with her favorite Keroppi teething toy. This was taken in Japan from when we received her at 3 months old. It's incredible how fast these little kids grow up!
Naina still has stranger anxiety with adults and wouldn't let any grown-ups hold her. However, we discovered that she's very comfortable with kids and was held by 4 kids this day: Apoorva, Emily, Tejas, and Charvi! Thank you for coming to celebrate Naina's birthday!
